In Video Poker all players are dealt 5 cards face up and it depending on the cards you hold, you will want to discard several in order to improve the value of your poker hand.

In today’s online casinos, Video Poker is one of the most popular games. In this particular brand of poker, there are multiple hands worth holding during the electronic 5-card deal. In particular, the best hands to hold – without discarding cards, include: A Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Full House, Flush and a Straight. Naturally those flops are few and far between – although they do happen. But 4 good cards drawn on a deal are also a highly valuable poker hand. These include: 4 of a Kind, 4 Card Royal, 4 Card Straight Flush, 2 Pairs, 4 Card Flush, A 10, J, Q and K of any suit, 4-Card Straight Sequential/Non-Sequential, 4-Card Straight Non-Sequential and 3 high cards. Players should always hold the above 4 cards and discard 1.

It’s more and more common to receive 3 good cards in Video Poker. When these combination of cards are dealt, discard 2 cards: 3 of a Kind, 3 Card Royal, 3 Card Straight Flush in sequential/non-sequential order and finally 3 High Cards with 10 thru A. More common Video Poker hands coming up nowadays are those containing 2 good cards. If you receive these combination, then discard the remaining 3 cards. They include: A pair of J’s, Q’s, K’s and A’s, a Low Pair with cards 2 thru 10, a 2-Card Royal (Q, K, J) or 2 High Cards with 10 thru A.

Players with 1 High Card, between 10 and A should keep the High Card and discard the other four cards. In this instance you’re hoping to hit a good hand by matching up your High Card and the new 4 you will be dealt. It does happen that players will be dealt cards with their High Card being less than 10. In this case, all 5 cards should be discarded and new ones drawn. Overall these tips serve as a guide for video poker. Be sure to understand the paytable for each game you’re playing. Always play video poker at your leisure and make sensible decisions. These tips will certainly lower the house edge.

If youíre looking to beat your opponent while playing poker online, you should take note of certain things beforehand. If you didnít consider a lot prior to your online poker experience you may be severely beaten by your online poker opponent. After all, just because you have not prepared yourself for the game doesnít mean that others in your opponent wonít prepare themselves.

Always enter in a card room that perfectly suits your style. You can always get the upper hand by doing so. Even though youíve a bad round you can still choose to try your fate at another table.

It seems be a good idea to play two poker games at once. It seems that it helps one to double his money within really short period of time. The truth is, although some of them are able to do so most of them end up losing double the money. Moreover, if you choose to play two games at the same time youíll probably find it hard to concentrate on your game as there will be two games that require your judgment and you may miss to make a right decision due to confusion. So itíd be better for you to play one game at a time if you want your winning odds to be higher.

There are several software applications that have proven to be effective, increasing the winning odds of those who stick to them. However, there are still some minor glitches and itís necessary for you to stay quite away from them. Most significantly, when youíre planning to play the game of online poker in accompany of such software, ensure that the speed of your internet connection is good enough for letting the software perform on its best.

In the game of poker, the only sure short way to win is by showing off the best hand. Of course, this doesnít work for land-based casinos only but for online casino too. However, there are numerous reasonable ways by which a smart poker player could enhance his odds of winning.

Both games can be fun, especially when you are winning. Some players in both arenas know the game better than the other players, and they are often called winners. Everybody can’t win in either game. What separates the winners from the losers?

Here’s a simple investor guide to playing the game to win. Don’t play for dollars until you know the basics.

Know who you are playing with. In poker some players cheat, some hustle, and others bluff. If the stakes are too high and you can’t afford to lose, you don’t belong in the game. If you don’t know the rules, you don’t either. The rules can be learned quite easily, but applying them with success requires a bit of savvy and experience if you expect to walk away ahead. You don’t need to be super intelligent or formally educated to win… you just need to know the game.

The above paragraph applies to poker, and to investing as well. Your friends will be glad to teach you poker, but where do you learn how to invest? Here are a few investing principles to use as a basic investor guide.

In the stock market don’t continue to hold and bet on a bad hand, there is no bluffing. If you’re holding a loser, throw in your cards… sell and get out.

Don’t expect any market to act on a rational basis on a day-to-day basis. The participants are people, as in poker, and as a group tend to place their bets out of emotion. Extreme news events cause investors to overreact. Don’t go along with the crowd and sell out of emotion. Wait until the dust settles and take advantage of the artificially low prices.

Don’t take big risks unless the potential rewards are high. This way, if you make a good call one-half of the time your winners will more than offset your losers.

Actually, it is easier to win at investing than in poker, which is truly a zero-sum game. Every poker game comes to an end, and total losses must equal total winnings.

In the investment markets this is not the case. For example, over the long term stock prices have historically risen, and stocks have returned about 10% a year on average. In other words, anyone holding average stocks long enough would have netted 10% a year if they just stayed in the game long enough.

If you know how to invest you can do better than average. Our investor guide now comes down to earth, to address serious long-term investing.

The long-term investor can avoid major losses and achieve better-than-average returns by utilizing a few basic investing tools. Chief among them are diversification and balance across the basic asset classes, rebalance, and dollar cost averaging.

It might take a while longer to learn how to invest vs. a game like poker, but over the long run the payoff will be worth your time and effort. There are many fine articles on investing available to you, keep on reading.

Playing poker is something that needs to be learned, not only with the cards but also by the body language of your opponent. However, seeing the body language of your opponents is impossible when you are playing poker online.

Still, “tells” can be seen even if you are playing poker online. This is because tells are just ways that players betray their hands or their decisions. In fact, do you realize that you see more action in a game of poker online than in poker that you play non-virtual? This is because there is bound to be a lot more money and betting involved.

Here are some tells that you can watch out for when playing poker online.

1. The stall – most inexperienced online poker players would do this when they have a strong hand. This is because they are feigning ignorance of what to do to make their opponents call their raise. For experienced players, they take advantage of this to fake having a strong hand. So young players would stall when they have a big hand, expert players would stall to fake it.

2. The rant vs. the gloat- some players take advantage of chat boxes to make it seem as if they are on a losing beat. Sometimes, it is even true. There are players that break down under chat pressure so you can bully them some more to make them lose their games. Gloaters on the other hand are immature players that want to make you think they are stronger and more experienced, aside from always getting good hands. Bluff them and see how far they go, especially if you have a very good hand.

3. The all-knowing player – This is the player that keeps on giving out unsolicited advice on how to play. Do not worry about these players; they normally get out of your way before you even notice them.

There are other tells that you can learn to distinguish as you keep on playing online. The only thing you need to do is to try and not get too much attention on yourself. This is to make sure that you have ample time to observe other people’s tells.

When playing online poker, you may not be able to see your opponents but you can see what they do. Just like playing poker with your buddies, people will reveal their personalities whether or not you actually see them face to face.

Here are some behaviors that you should avoid:

1. Chatting constantly. Whether you are ranting or gloating, other players might be able to read between your lines and make you lose your strategy.

2. Over-reacting. Do not be so foolish as to tell everyone you have a good hand or a bad hand by putting too much raise on the table or by sending “emoticons” on the screen.

3. Rechecking your cards when a flush draw is flopped – write down your cards if you have a bad memory. Rechecking your cards mean that you either have a weak hand, or a very strong hand and you are silently gloating.

4. Telling your opponents you have a strong hand – they are going to know that you probably have the weakest hand imaginable so refrain from this bluff.

For yourself, you can avoid giving away your own tells by not reacting in any way perceivable to other opponents on the online table.

As Texas Hold’em Poker is the most popular form of poker, a lot of people are interested on it. There are lots of books published on this book and there are lot of websites. But here is a quick guide on what is is, and how it is played for the people who knows nothing or very little about Texas Hold’em and want to start it.

Two cards are dealt at the start of the each game in Texas Hold’em poker. And these two cards are called ‘hole cards’. Remaining cards are shared between the players. There are 1326 combinations of two cards you can make from the 52 cards in a deck. That fact easily makes the novice players nerveous. However, by defining the hole cards to ‘suited’, ‘not suited’ and ‘pairs’, the possibility of the starting had can be reduced to 169 combinations.

Hold’em is normally played using small and big blid bets by two players. A plays deals using dealer button and the small blind is posted by the player to the left of the dealer. Small blind is normally equal to the half of the big blind. The blind periodically increases in the tournament poker as the game progresses. “Head-to head” and “heads up” rule is used when only two players remain and the blinds are posted in different way. The dealer acts first before the flop and last after the flop.

Limit Hold’em, no-limit hold’em and pot-limit hold’em are the common variations of hold’em. However, the Limit hold’em is the most popular variation of hold’em in USA. Bets are raises must be equal to the big blind n the first two rounds in limit hold’em. And after that raises should be double of the big blind. That amount is called big bet.

At present, majority of online poker players prefer playing their game with an entire mathematical calculation and never consider human feeling as a part of the game whenever they participate live in tournament. Obviously, you’ll not see the player on your opponent while playing poker online and this makes it extremely hard to read your competitor’s mind and exploit their weakness. This is why it’s always recommended for you to play it online and gain knowledge about tactics of the mathematical tricks for getting an edge over your defense player in the live games like texas holdem.

Although the mathematical equations aren’t a bad idea at all but it’s not overall as well. When it comes to a live poker tournament, there are numerous points need to be considered while bluffing and betting all the way through your games.

Below are some of the tricks better to be preferred if you wish to enhance your game’s posture:

Table Composition

You should always analyze your table considering the players’ nature, are they pros or amateur in this arena? If you’ll be able to answer this question, you’ll also be able to exploit your game consequently.

Position
Find out the pros players and big stakes of the game. If a pro is playing beside you, then it’s better for you to play aggressive by taking on thinner +EV. Likewise, if a week player is seated beside you, you then prefer a safer approach and attempt to capitalize on the smaller pots.

Stage of the Tournament
Most poker players often vary their game plan considering the game’s stage. You should always consider those changes and adjust your gaming style considering those changes. Keep in mind that you should always pursue the pattern following in the tournament you’re participating in.

Structure of the Tournament
Blinds are a key part of the game as well and their occurrence also influences the poker games. In case the blinds are taking place too quickly, you then should keep patient within yourself.

Mental State of your Opponents
You should always try to read your opponent’s mind. Never let your opponents to understand what your next move is. Instead, look for the confidence and nervousness in your opponent’s face. If you did so, you’ll then find their cards condition in the expression they’re carrying on their face.

The Image of Your Table
Remember that the player on your defense will also not miss a chance to read you face expression, so always remain clam no matter how week cards you’re playing with. You should remain focused in your game. Never reveal your emotional feelings in your game.

Online gambling has been the most popular games on internet since its starting years. But the unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act enforced in late 2006 prohibited lots of US players to play their favorite games online. Well, though online gambling was boosting the US economy and had allowed tons of people to find their livelihood using these industry but the shortsightedness of US government to ban the use of credit cards, check and any other bank instrument on online gambling sites has discouraged them a lot.

Since online gambling website requires a user to disclose his personal information so many players are scared of this fact and normally tend to avoid sites that look scammy.

The severe headache for most of the online casinos these days has become the bonus hunting. Some countries have even been banned from getting the special promotion offers that are available to the new clients because the online casino merely could not overcome their incurring losses.

Every casino games acquire a house edge that has been built within them and this is how they become able in managing to make bucks. The advantages that the casino takes over the player differ from differentiation in game. The baccarat and blackjack acquire the lowest edge, so an average player will lose more money if they prefer playing other higher edge games such as keno or slot, for instance rather than these games. Generally, there is a correlation between the size of the jackpot and the house edge. Most of the people seem to be interested in participating in the game with high house edge as the prize they’ll be offered with in such games are usually terribly huge. And this is how the progressive slots operate. The jackpot is extremely rarely won, but when one won the jackpot, he/she will be offered with anywhere from $10,000 to over $1 million.

Since online casinos are unable to attract their clients with hotel stays, free drinks, and beautiful women, they only offer the real incentive available with them for enticing the new players, and that is cold hard cash. So the standard offer is when you deposit $X, you’ll be offered with $X. By receiving the bonus you can overcome the issue of house edge and create some beneficial playing circumstances.

Bonus abusers surf each and every online casino out there extracting the possible largest amount of bonus, and then playing all the way through the staking requirements by playing the games with extremely low house games. They then withdraw both their bonus amount and their deposit.

You’ll notice if you closely read the small print of several online casinos that they have excluded the low wagering games such as roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. However, remaining others has taken a step further and just offer bonuses for those who stakes on the slot machines. Because of this step of online casinos, the bonus abusers these days have almost quit signing up on the online casino sites. But what about those players who play legitimately and adore playing these low staking games? Its answer is tough cookies.

One additional method for determining the bonus abusers is introducing the “sticky” bonus. This bonus is offered to a player just for wagering purposes, meaning when you want to withdraw your total winnings, the bonus offered is withdrawn from the total amount.
